Enquiry

The Enquiry Module is designed to record and manage admission-related enquiries in one centralized location.

Getting Started

To begin using the Enquiry Module:

  1. Navigate to Reception Configuration.
  2. Define the following:
    • Enquiry Types: Specify the categories or types of enquiries your institution typically receives.
    • Enquiry Source: Identify the sources through which enquiries are received, such as online, walk-in, referrals, etc.

Once these configurations are completed, you can start recording enquiries.

Permissions

The Enquiry Module includes four permissions that control access and functionality:

  • List Enquiry: Allows users to view a list of all enquiries.
  • Create Enquiry: Grants the ability to add new enquiries.
  • Edit Enquiry: Enables editing of existing enquiries.
  • Delete Enquiry: Permits deletion of enquiries.

Enquiry Listing Features

When viewing the list of enquiries, the following actions and options are available:

  1. Add New Enquiry: Opens a form to input the details of a new enquiry.
  2. Filter: Allows you to filter the list based on specific criteria.
  3. Sort By: Enables sorting of the records in ascending or descending order by supported columns.
  4. More Options: Offers functionality to print or download the list of enquiries.

At the bottom of the list:

  • Navigation Controls: Move between pages to view more enquiries.
  • Pagination Settings: Adjust the number of records displayed per page.

For each row in the list, you can:

  • View enquiry details.
  • Edit the enquiry.
  • Delete the enquiry.

Creating an Enquiry

To create a new enquiry:

  1. Click on Add New Enquiry.
  2. Fill in the required details, including multiple student entries if applicable.
    • Use the "Add New" button to provide details for each student.
  3. Once all details are complete, click the Save button to store the enquiry.

Viewing Enquiry Details

When viewing an enquiry, the details are displayed in two sections:

  • Left Panel: Displays the enquiry information, including a list of students and their details.
  • Right Panel: Allows you to manage follow-ups related to the enquiry.

Enquiry Follow-Up Status

The module supports four possible follow-up statuses:

  1. Open: The enquiry is still active and has not been resolved.
  2. Missed: The enquirer did not proceed with admitting any students to your institution.
  3. Partially Closed: Some (but not all) students listed in the enquiry have been admitted.
  4. Closed: All students listed in the enquiry have been admitted.

Additionally, you can schedule a next follow-up date to remind yourself of pending actions.
