The SMS Module allows you to send SMS messages to a variety of audiences, including everyone, selected course students, specific batch students, department employees, categorized employees, or individual students/employees.

 This feature can be accessed through Communication Configuration.

Permission

This module contains one permission:

• Send SMS: Anyone with this permission can send SMS messages.

Module Setup

To begin working with the SMS Module, follow these steps:

SMS Gateway Configuration: Navigate to Configuration -> SMS. Here, you must enter details specific to your SMS gateway for integration. Please refer to the screenshot provided for better understanding.

• For detailed instructions on configuring your SMS gateway, visit the support portal for further guidance.

Sending SMS

• In the Send SMS form, you need to enter the following details:
  • Subject: The subject of the SMS.
  • Audience: Choose the type of audience (everyone, selected course students, batch students, department employees, category employees, or individual students/employees).
  • SMS Content: Enter the body text of the SMS.
  • Include or Exclude List: Select the list of recipients to include or exclude.

Once you complete all the details, click the Submit button to send the SMS to the selected audience.
